Mailboxes vandalized in northwest Lincoln neighborhood

LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) – Lincoln police say three cluster mailboxes in a northwest Lincoln neighborhood have been vandalized.
According to LPD, the mailboxes were vandalized overnight from Jan. 9 to Jan. 10. The thieves pried open multiple mailboxes and removed mail from within.
The cluster mailboxes in the 2700 block of NW 7th Street, 2800 block of NW 8th Street and the 700 block of Bridger Lane were all vandalized. LPD estimates the total damage at $300 and they say the scope of the mail theft is unknown at this time.
LPD encourages residents in the area to call the police to confirm if any of their mail is missing. The investigation is currently ongoing, anyone with information is encouraged to call LPD at 402-441-6000.
