Waverly’s Bekka Allick named Nebraska’s Gatorade Volleyball Player of Year

The senior is one of three Husker volleyball commits to earn her state's honor.

LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) – Waverly senior Bekka Allick was named 2021-22 Gatorade Nebraska Volleyball Player of the Year on Tuesday afternoon.

The Husker volleyball commit led the Vikings to the state Class B semifinals this past year recording 442 kills, 341 digs, 50 blocks and 41 service aces in her final season.  She also spent time representing Team USA on their national volleyball 18u team.

Allick is one of three Nebraska volleyball commits to earn their state’s honor. Maggie Mendelson was named Utah’s Gatorade Player of the Year, and Bergen Reilly won South Dakota’s Gatorade Player of the Year.
