Cold temperatures next several days
Cold air has arrived in southeast Nebraska and it is going to hang around for a couple days.
Wednesday morning will greet us with temperatures from 8° to 13°. Winds will shift around to the northeast, sustained at 10 to 15 mph. This will produce wind chills from -5° to -1°.
Overcast skies will remain overhead Wednesday. Temperatures will not warm much through the day. Highs will only be in the upper teens to near 20°. Again, winds will remain brisk, sustained 10 to 20 mph and gusts to 25 mph. This will produce wind chills in the single digits to slightly below zero throughout the day.
Wind chills will dip even more for Thursday morning. Air temperatures will fall to near 0°. Winds will be sustained 10-15 mph, with gusts to 20 mph. This produces wind chills -20° to -10°.
