FBI: Daycare employee allegedly sexually assaulted, filmed victims; owner’s husband speaks to Channel 8

According to the FBI, an employee at a Lincoln daycare allegedly sexually assaulted and covertly produced sexually graphic videos and photographs of victims.
On Wednesday, with the help of Lincoln Police, the FBI agents were seen moving in and out of Playful Paintings daycare center located at 630 N. Cotner Blvd., near Gateway Mall.
The investigation came one day after the arrest of 26-year-old Titus Miller, who was employed at Playful Painters Child Care from 2016 until October 2019, on federal charges of distribution and production of child pornography.
The FBI released a statement saying:
“The FBI executed a lawful arrest of an individual on production of child pornography charges in Lincoln, Nebraska yesterday. Upon learning that a child may be at risk, we reacted immediately. We understand the outrage the community feels and that this news is disrupting the lives of families right here in Lincoln. Our priority is to protect the victims and bring the perpetrator to justice, and ask for your patience as we conduct a thorough investigation. We would like to thank our partners at the United States Attorney’s Office and the Lincoln Police Department for their crucial assistance in affecting the arrest. As this is an ongoing investigation.
Channel 8 Eyewitness News spoke to a mother whose two daughters attended the daycare. She said there were concerns of alleged assaults from other parents.
“They did say there were some concerns with other children coming forward with sexual abuse from the daycare,” she said.
Channel 8 Eyewitness News also spoke with the husband of the daycare operator.
The man said his wife, Amanda Gallagher, wants to make a statement to parents.
“She wants to make statements too but she doesn’t want to break any rules,” he told a Channel 8 Eyewitness News reporter. He said “investigators” told them not to speak publicly about the investigation. He added his wife was in the process of finding an attorney.
Miller is being held by the U.S. Marshals without bound after appearing in court Wednesday. He is scheduled to have a preliminary hearing next month.
