Nebraska officials blast “thug” Putin for Russian invasion of Ukraine
In a series of social media posts, they also call Russia's president "unhinged"
LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) — Officials from Nebraska are going after the president of Russia for launching an invasion of Ukraine.
Rep. Jeff Fortenberry said in a statement, “Russia presides over the United Nations Security Council while launching a premeditated war in Europe, stripping away any semblance of civilized, sane, and orderly process for resolving conflict. How easy it is to create death and destruction in our so-called enlightened time. Putin is unhinged. Ukraine must fight.”

Rep. Don Bacon joined his colleague with a post saying, “Thug Putin initiated unprovoked war of aggression to force Ukrainians, who want independence, to live under Russian domination. Russia is a pariah state and must be cut off economically and diplomatically. Bullies only respect strength so we must build up our defenses with our Allies.”
We should hammer Putin & Russia as hard as we can economically and diplomatically. Putin’s Russia is a disgrace. Let’s arm Ukraine as much as we can and help them defend their country. And, we must work with Allies to strengthen our defenses. The Bully won’t stop with Ukraine.
