Nebraska governor candidate Jim Pillen announces running mate

Joe Kelly will serve as his running mate.

LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) – Nebraska governor candidate Jim Pillen announced Joe Kelly as his running mate on Tuesday.

Kelly currently serves as the chief of the Criminal Bureau in the Attorney General’s Office.

Kelly previously served as the United States Attorney for the District of Nebraska from 2018 to 2021, according to Attorney General Doug Peterson’s website.

He’s also served as Lancaster County attorney, chief deputy county attorney and as an associate with Berniger, Berg and Diver PC in Colorado Springs.
