Lincoln vintage toy store celebrates Star Wars Day
Toys From the Past has a 20% off sale through Sunday
LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) – Toys From the Past in Lincoln is celebrating May the Fourth, also known as Star Wars Day to fans of the franchise.
The store is offering a 20% off sale on all items at its three locations through Sunday.
- 13th and Arapahoe Streets
- 70th and Van Dorn Streets
- 36th Street and Cornhusker Highway
The store carries a wide assortment of “Star Wars” collectibles, new and old.
Hayden Korn, manager of the 13th Street location, said the store has items for fans young and old.
He explained that while a lot of middle-aged adults come to the store to find a blast from their past, they also see a lot of younger customers.
And they typically see more people coming into the store looking for memorabilia on Star Wars Day, Korn said.
“Usually later in the day, we’ll see a lot more kids coming in, like, after school and stuff, so it’s definitely a fun holiday,” he said. “Every so often, we’ll have one customer come in wearing something really cool, maybe dress up, so super sweet.”
Korn said shortly before 3 p.m. Wednesday that a few people had already come into the store “loading up on some Star Wars stuff.”
“And we’ve had ‘Star Wars’ playing all day,” he said.
The stores are open seven days a week from 11 a.m. to 8 p.m.
