Dozens gather at Nebraska Capitol to demand safer guns laws
LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) – Calls for gun control grow louder and louder in the wake of several mass shootings. Some of those voices are right here in Nebraska.
On Saturday, dozens of people gathered at the Nebraska State Capitol for the “March for our Lives” event to demand safer gun laws.
They say they did it to inspire change, not only in our country but in Nebraska, too.
“We are going to talk to our state legislators, city council, school board, and we are going to try to get sensible gun reform enacted in our state,” said Henry Cline, the Nebraska director for March for Our Lives.
The event had several speakers, including students, teachers and parents.
Many urged those who are old enough to vote to go out and do so.
