Nebraska State Patrol responds to 100 weather-related incidents on Sunday

On Sunday, the Nebraska State Patrol responded to approximately 100 weather-related incidents, including 20 crashes and more than 70 motorist assists. 

In addition to the semi-crash on exit 409 in Waverly, there was another serious crash on Highway 71 between Scottsbluff and I-80.

A 2005 Chevrolet Equinox drove off the road northbound and rolled through the snow-packed median and southbound lanes before coming to rest on its wheels.

It happened at approximately 2:30 MT. All four occupants were transported to the hospital for either treatment for injuries or to get checked out. The driver was life-flighted with more serious injuries. The three other occupants were juveniles.
