Large RV expo rolls into Lincoln for the first time

LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) – RVers from across the country are in Lincoln this week at the Lancaster Event Center for the 150th Family Motor Coach Association International Convention and RV Expo.

The expo takes place every year in different places across the country, but this year, the FMCA decided to go somewhere new.

It’s the first time the expo will be in Lincoln and the first time the event has a primary sponsor.

The primary sponsor is Blue Ox, a manufacturing company based in Pender.

Kevin Molland, director of marketing for Blue Ox, said that the company has worked with FMCA for many years and that it’s great to be a sponsor for this event and welcome everyone to Lincoln.

Those attending the expo get to take part in seminar classes on all things RV, look at new ones and go through the trade/exhibit hall.

They also get to experience nightly entertainment.

There are day passes for anyone not registered for the full expo, and they get the full experience.

FMCA Director of Events Doug Uhlenbrock said there is something for everyone, whether you’re new or experienced in the RV lifestyle.

“Our exhibit halls, we have plenty of things there, our exhibitors doing a great job,” he said. “And I think they’ll really be surprised at what they can find out here as it relates to RVing and the industry as a whole.”

Single tickets are available for people to walk through the exhibit halls and see all of the new RVs.

They can be purchased at the gate and are $10 on Thursday and Friday, or $25 for a family of three.

On Saturday, as a courtesy to the community, admission is free.
