Luke Bryan takes over Cass County farm

LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) — The Luke Bryan Farm Tour took over the Stock Hay & Grain Farm in Murdock after months of planning.

“Lot of months now, we have been planning for safety, fire, EMS, law enforcement,” said Cassie Cox of Cass County Emergency Management. “We’ve been working with countless agencies throughout the county to make sure that everyone has a fun and safe night.”

The farm tour aims to put a spotlight on agriculture in rural communities.

Over 3,000 cars and upward of 10,000 people were expected at the concert.

Bryan fans like Laci Sheard flocked from across Nebraska.

“It was actually kind of a last-minute decision,” said Sheard, who traveled 40 minutes. “My mom was like, ‘Hey, you want to go to Luke Bryan?’ ”

Another fan, Leslie Vera, said one of her favorite parts of the COVID-19 was when Bryan went live on Facebook performing “One Margarita.”

“Fingers crossed that he plays it,” she said.

Cass County EMS said staff will be on-site throughout the day, alongside fire and rescue departments from across our area.

Officials stressed the need for everyone to dress appropriately, as the temperature was a lot cooler than earlier this week.

Thursday’s high was only 64 degrees, with a low of 51.

Cass County EMS also encouraged everyone to bring proper footwear, as “this is literally in the middle of a farm field.”
