Pius X rolls over Norris to end the regular season

LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) – It was senior night for Lincoln Pius X, facing the Norris Titans at home in the last game of the regular season.

Neither team needed a win, as both have solidified playoff positions.

But the Thunderbolts came away with a lopsided 41-17 victory.

At the opening kickoff, Pius senior Cole Skorupa returned the ball all the way to the 48-yard line of the Titans for good field position to start the game.

That would later set up a 1-yard touchdown from running back Matt Bohy for an early 7-0 Bolts lead.

But it was not long before Norris would answer.

Going for it on fourth and long, quarterback Jarrett Behrends heaved one to the end zone to find Cooper Cerny from 32 yards out, tying the game at 7.

The Norris fans and student section went wild for it.

But the Bolts picked up where they left off in quarter two. After a field goal and a stop on defense, Matt Bohy ran it in from a yard out for another touchdown.

That put the Bolts up 17-7 near the end of the quarter.

Bohy had a stellar senior night, with three touchdowns.
