LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) — Police are searching for a vehicle that was stolen from the Lincoln Parks and Recreation Department this week.

Just after 3:30 a.m. on Wednesday, police say, security footage at the Casey’s near 40th and Adams Streets shows the truck pulling in and a passenger getting out with a metal bar.

They then hit the front door of the store with the weapon, according to officials, before driving away.

Authorities say a Pioneers Park maintenance employee called them a few hours later and reported that a 2019 white Ford F-250 pickup was missing.

The license plate number of the $30,000 truck is 35577.

A door at Pioneers Park was reportedly pried open, and an office was rummaged through as well, causing $255 in damage.
