Hammer time: Habitat for Humanity of Lincoln seeks tool donations on Giving Tuesday
LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) – The season of giving is upon us, and Habitat for Humanity of Lincoln is looking for people to give money and tools to its cause.
Tuesday is Giving Tuesday, but Habitat for Humanity is dubbing it #GivingTOOLSDay.
It wants people to make monetary donations or to purchase new tools on its Amazon wish list.
The tools will go to the volunteers who help build houses for families in need.
“They need tools to get the job done,” said Deanna Walz, Habitat’s director of development.
Walz also said Habitat is looking for people to donate gently used tools to its ReStore at 56th Street and Highway 2.
Those tools will be for the general public to purchase.
Walz encourages people to participate on Tuesday but also said people can donate tools and money now on Habitat’s website.
