Changes headed our way
We got into the 60s in SE Nebraska Monday. There was definitely a spring feel to the day! But it’s still winter and it’s coming back soon.
Rain chances increase and become likely early Tuesday morning. On and off showers are likely through the early evening hours, with a thunderstorm chance, as well!
Temperatures aren’t going to move much on Tuesday. We’ll still be mild by February standards, but we’ll hover in the middle and upper 40s to around 50 degrees all day.
It’s going to be windy, too. Wind gusts will be in the 25 to 30 mph range for much of the day.
After the rain chance on Tuesday, we continue to cool off. Snow starts to move in Wednesday evening and may last into Thursday morning.
Recent weather models show snow moving into south central and SE Nebraska Wednesday evening.
The heaviest snow for SE Nebraska would be in the early morning hours. Winter weather headlines are starting to be put in place for this time frame.
