Shooting at 27th and Laurel Avenue investigated by Omaha Police

LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) — A shooting took place early Sunday morning injuring one person overnight, according to an Omaha Police press release.

OPD responded where 19-year-old, Mocktavin Dial, was found suffering from a gunshot wound.

Dial was transported to the Nebraska Medical Center in critical condition.

Dial is expected to survive from his injury.

A large gathering was reported to authorities where a possible disturbance at the residence happened before the shooting.

An investigation by Omaha police is ongoing.
