Woman injured in north Omaha shooting, police say

LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) – A woman was injured late Tuesday night in a shooting in north Omaha, police say.

Around 10:30 p.m., officers were sent to an area near North 45th Street and Bedford Avenue on a report of a shooting.

When officers arrived, they found shell casings and the victim, a 23-year-old woman, who was inside a nearby home.

Medics then took the woman, who police say was in serious condition, to the Nebraska Medical Center.

Police say the woman has injuries that are not life-threatening.

An investigation is ongoing, and anyone with information is asked to call Omaha Crime Stoppers at (402) 444-STOP.
