Sac Aerospace Museum pranks community with missing missile
LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) – The Strategic Air Command and Aerospace Museum pranks the community by reporting its 75 ft.-10 in long missile has gone missing in Ashland on April 1.
The fake Facebook post about the Sac landmark reads:
“MISSING! Our iconic Atlas missile has gone missing. Officials aren’t sure of the exact timing but it appears sometime between midnight and 1am is when the ICBM disappeared. There is an ongoing investigation and more information will be released as it becomes available.
To support the efforts in locating this missile, we ask that you keep your eyes out for a 75ft-10in long and 10ft diameter cylindrical shell. To view more about our Convair SM-65 Atlas visit:
A Sac employee erased the missile from a photo taken right outside the museum’s doors. The museum let the community in on the prank April 2.
“Well since it is no longer April Fools Day, we should probably break the news that our Atlas Missile is not missing, nor was it ever.
Now, having said that…internet please produce some memes that show where you think our not missing missile may have gone.
