Inmate goes missing from Lincoln prison

LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) — An inmate has gone missing from the Community Corrections Center-Lincoln.

Buay Chuol, 20, was on a job seek furlough on Monday when his electronic monitor was tampered with, according to the Nebraska Department of Correctional Services.

He was sentenced in York County for attempted robbery. He began his sentence on April 26, 2021, and had a parole hearing scheduled for May.

Chuol is a 6-foot-1, 145-pound Black man with black hair and brown eyes.

If you know where he might be, call local authorities or the Nebraska State Patrol.

The facility is least-restrictive type in Nebraska’s prison system. Inmates can go to work, school and religious services without direct supervision.
