Pick-up hits cyclist, injuries life-threatening

A bicyclist has life-threatening injuries after being hit by a pick-up in west Lincoln Thursday evening.

It happened on west Pioneers Boulevard near South Folsom at 6:50 p.m.

Lincoln Police say both the bike and pick-up were headed west over a hill, and the driver of the pick-up didn’t see the bicyclist. 

The bike was hit from behind. 

LPD says speed did not appear to be a factor in the crash. 

No identities of anyone involved have been released, but police say the bicyclist was a man in his upper 60s.
