North Lincoln trailer home ‘a total loss’ after fire, officials say
LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) – Several firefighters battled a blaze at a north Lincoln trailer home Monday afternoon.
Lincoln Fire & Rescue crews were sent to the home near 27th and Superior Streets around 3:30 p.m.
When crews arrived, flames and smoke were coming from the back of the trailer home, Battalion Chief Jim Bopp said.
When firefighters got inside, part of the roof started collapsing, which led to an evacuation.
No one was injured, but Bopp thinks the home is “a total loss.”
He estimated that the trailer, which was not insured, was worth $26,900.
There was no power to the building, Bopp said.
Investigators still aren’t sure what caused the blaze, and LFR said the fire inspector is not ruling anything out.
