Iowa man found with stolen vehicle on I-80 in Lancaster County, deputy says

LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) – An Iowa man was caught Sunday with a stolen vehicle on Interstate 80 in Lancaster County, the sheriff’s office says.

Chief Deputy Ben Houchin said deputies stopped to check on a vehicle that was parked on the shoulder of I-80 northeast of Waverly.

During the stop, deputies ran the vehicle’s license plate and found that it had been stolen from Sioux City, Iowa.

The driver – 20-year-old Anthony Bearcomesout – was arrested on suspicion of possessing stolen property.

Houchin said Sioux City Police will be taking over the investigation.
