WATCH: ‘Ow! Ow! Ow!’ Yankees broadcaster hit by foul ball during play-by-play

LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) – Yankee radio broadcaster John Sterling was hit by a foul ball on Saturday night.

After the hit, Sterling picked up his commentary where he left off.

“So I took one for the team,” he said. “I am OK, just a glancing blow.”

Sterling is now being praised online, with fans saying he’s “more durable than our players.”

“John Sterling is like a Timex,” another fan said.

The ball was later signed by Red Sox third baseman Justin Turner, who hit the ball.

The note on the ball said, “To John no matter where you sit at a ballgame, you’re never safe. ”
