A hot week ahead

Temperatures this time of year are supposed to be in the upper 80s, so we’re no stranger to heat the 2nd half of June. However, it’s going to be well above average each of the next 10 days! Precipitation chances will be slim with only a chance over the weekend.

90s In June

Lincoln has seen nine 90+ degree days so far in June. Last year, we saw 12, 2021 saw 16, and 2020 had 18. The most 90+ degree days since 2000 happened in 2016 and 2002 when we say 19 days. With the forecast full of 90 degree days, it’s possible we could see 19 or more days in the 90s this June.

Lincoln Tomorrow Hour By Hour

We’ll start Tuesday in the upper 60s and lower 70s. We will eventually top out in the middle 90s by the afternoon with lots of sunshine.

Tomorrow High Dma

All of us will see the 90s on Tuesday with a southeast wind at 10 to 20 mph.

Any Model Latest Run 2

Precipitation chances will be confined to the western half of the state on Tuesday. Storms will get going in the late afternoon and make it into central Nebraska by midnight before dying out completely.

Spc 02

Because of that storm chance, the SPC has parts of NW Nebraska in a Level 1 “Marginal Risk” for severe storms. This means a couple of storms could be severe in this area.
