45-year-old inmate convicted of murder dies at Lincoln prison

LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) – A 45-year-old inmate died Sunday at the Reception and Treatment Center in Lincoln.

The Nebraska Department of Correctional Services said Bobby Wallace was found unresponsive in his cell.

Staff members tried saving his life, but he was later pronounced dead.

Wallace was serving a 40- to 60-year sentence for second-degree murder in Douglas County.

The Nebraska State Patrol is investigating Wallace’s death, corrections officials said.

A grand jury will also investigate Wallace’s death, as required by Nebraska law.
