Storm chances and slightly cooler temperatures
Severe Thunderstorm Watch is in place for SW Nebraska through 4:00AM MDT.
Large hail and damaging wind will be the main concerns with the storms that form in SW Nebraska tonight. Those storms will try to move east overnight and a few of those storms may be strong.
After hitting 101 in Lincoln on Wednesday, we’re going to cool off a little bit. We’ll still be in the 90s Thursday, then the 80s for a couple of days. There are storm chances, too!
We cool down a little on Thursday with highs in the upper 80s to the middle 90s. Storms will be possible in the morning, then again late in the evening.
The dewpoint is still expected to be a little high, so the heat index will push into the middle and upper 90s at times.
After that early storm chance, most of Thursday will be dry and warm. The next chance for rain will be Thursday night.
