Brock’s Boutique founder honors late son with meals and clothes giveaway
LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) — A Lincoln woman is continuing a tradition by giving away free clothes and meals to those in need.
Debbie Boltz founded Brock’s Boutique seven years ago as a way to give back to the community and honor her late son Brock.
Every first Saturday of the month, the Havelock Christian Church in Lincoln hosts the free clothing and meals event.
The boutique receives a brand new load of clothing every month to offer shoppers a new selection.
Curtis Peacock, the chair of the Havelock Chrisitan Church’s board said Bolt started as a garage sale. “She needed to do this and switched to a giveaway rather than a sale,” Peacock said. “Lots of people were willing to give her things to be given away for free, that’s how it started.”
To donate to the drive, you can drop off items at the Havelock Christian Church.
