Quiet on Monday; Storm chances on Tuesday
The eastern half of the state stayed dry, a few pop-up storms arrived in the evening hours for the western half. Monday is another dry and warm day. A greater chance to see storms arrives on the 4th of July.
Another warm day ahead, we’ll see sunny skies and many temperatures in the lower 90s on Monday.
A majority of the state is in a Slight Risk (level 2/5) for Severe Weather on Tuesday, the 4th of July. Some northwestern counties are in a Marginal Risk (level 1/5) for Severe weather. Damaging winds, large hail, and a spin-up or two are possible.
A closer look at our 4th of July forecast, the first half of the day will be dry and sunny. A wave of storms enter the state in the afternoon hours and continue to move through the eastern half of the state Tuesday overnight into Wednesday. We will see strong to Severe storms with this system. The storm alert team will continue to monitor this system as it arrives.
