LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) — The boy killed in a crash in eastern Nebraska last week has been identified.

The Sarpy County Sheriff’s Office said Monday that 8-year-old Paxton Parker of Glenwood, Iowa, died at the scene.

About 8 a.m. Thursday, 34-year-old Elizabeth Sprunger lost control of her Hyundai Sonata on U.S. Highway 34 near Harlan Lewis Road, authorities said.

The vehicle crossed the center line and collided with an eastbound Ram pickup, according to the sheriff’s office.

It then was hit by a 2016 Freightliner semitrailer-truck.

Sprunger and a 9-year-old passenger in the Sonata are in the Nebraska Medical Center with serious injuries.

The drivers of the pickup truck and semi — 38-year-old Bryan Gregerson of Plattsmouth and 58-year-old Richard Jackson of Louisville, respectively — were not injured.

The crash is still under investigation, the sheriff’s office said.
