Woman driving with kids tried running over man in Grand Island yard, police say

LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) — A woman is accused of trying to run over a man in a yard on Tuesday — with kids in her car.

That’s according to the Grand Island Police Department, which says the woman also threatened to kill the 30-year-old with a garden tool as she chased him.

This happened near College Street and North Sherman Boulevard just before 6 p.m.

Christina Young was arrested and is facing several charges, including attempted domestic assault and intentional child abuse.

GIPD said the children were not injured.  It’s unclear if anyone else was hurt or how much damage was done to the property.

Police also haven’t revealed what led up to the attack.
