Nebraskans unable to make calls amid U.S. Cellular outage impacting thousands

LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) — People reported thousands of cell service outages nationwide on Tuesday, including right here in Nebraska.
According to Downdetector, reports from U.S. Cellular customers began taking off around 5 a.m.
It peaked at about 7:45 a.m., when there were more than 2,500 reports. By 6 p.m., that number had dropped to 78.
Omaha was one of the most affected cities, according to the website.
Sone said they had no phone service, including incoming and outgoing calls. Others have said they’re experiencing email problems.
U.S. Cellular has been individually responding to people on social media, saying, “There’s currently intermittent issues that we are working to resolve to get you back going. While we don’t have and ETA it is a priority. In the meantime, periodically turn your phone completely off then back on.”
