Volunteer fire department celebrates 140 years of serving Kearney

LINCOLN. Neb. (KLKN) — Tuesday marked the Kearney Volunteer Fire Department’s 140-year anniversary.

The department formed in 1883 and said on Facebook that it has “proudly” served the Kearney community ever since.

KVFD is currently accepting applications for anyone interested.
