Man found at Lincoln hotel with drugs, Samurai sword and 47 knives, deputy says
LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) – A man was found Thursday with an assortment of knives and drugs at a hotel in north Lincoln, the Lancaster County Sheriff’s Office says.
Chief Deputy Ben Houchin said a U.S. Marshals Service task force found 37-year-old Robert Ramey at Wood Springs Suites near 27th Street and Fletcher Avenue.
Ramey was wanted on narcotics and weapon warrants, and authorities had obtained a search warrant.
Inside the hotel, authorities found $5,095, which Houchin thinks came from drug sales.
Authorities also found 102 grams of marijuana, 116 grams of suspected meth, THC, mushrooms, pills and cocaine.
Ramey had 47 knives, 13 of which were over the legal size limit, Houchin said.
Authorities also seized four throwing stars, a hatchet, a Samurai sword and an M-80 firework.
Ramey was arrested on suspicion of possessing with intent to deliver, possession of a deadly weapon by a prohibited person and possession of money while violating drug statutes.
