Inmate caught after escaping from Virginia prison

LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) — Michael Burham was caught and arrested after escaping from Warren prison a week ago.

Authorities say he escaped the prison using tied up bedsheets to climb down from the roof.

Burham was found all thanks to a barking dog.

The dog alerted their owners who came outside to see Burham and they made their way back inside to call the police.

Police say within two hours he was back in custody.

He will not return to Warren County Prison and it is still unclear where he will be held.

Burham was jailed on burglary and kidnapping charges and he is also a suspect in a murder.
