LFR fights garage fire in northeast Lincoln
LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) — Firefighters battled a fire in northeast Lincoln on Tuesday night.
Lincoln Fire & Rescue was sent to the fire near 53d Street and Leighton Avenue around 9:15 p.m.
They saw flames coming from a detached garage when they arrived, according to LFR spokeswoman MJ Lierman.

Firefighters were still spraying the garage at 10 p.m.
The blaze spread to the home’s attic and also melted the siding of a neighboring house, Lierman said.
The cause and damage amount are not yet known.
