Robber punches driver in the face and speeds off with money, Nebraska police say

LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) — A driver says he was punched in the face by a total stranger, who then took off with his money.

This reportedly happened on Tuesday in Grand Island near West Capital Avenue and North Engleman Road.

The Grand Island Police Department said the robber walked up to the victim’s vehicle while it was parked and slugged him around 2:15 p.m.

Police said the thief then grabbed the victim’s wallet, along with a moneybag for the business he works for.

The robber then took off in another vehicle after stealing cash from the wallet.

Police haven’t released a description of whom they’re looking for or the vehicle they were in.
