Slow but sure warm up
We’ll see a couple more days with temperatures very close to normal, but then things start to heat up. Middle and upper 90s are likely all next week with a chance for some triple digits Wednesday and Thursday. Other than Saturday, rain is looking unlikely.
The weekend will start off cool, but we warm up in to the 80s quick. There will be a chance for rain in the morning, then again in the evening.
The chance for rain on Saturday is going to be spotty, but someone will see storms somewhere. Above shows that the best chance in the morning will be in SE Nebraska.
The best chance for storms Saturday evening will be in south central Nebraska.
There is a Level 1 Marginal Risk for storms on Saturday. This means one or two storms may get to severe status with 1″ hail and damaging wind.
After the rain chance and the 80s for highs on Saturday, we’ll see he 90s for highs just about every day next week. In fact, 100s are possible by mid week!
