Stolen dog returns to Lincoln home, marking latest Crime Stoppers success

LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) — A stolen pit bull was safely returned to her owner in Lincoln after last week’s Crime Stoppers report.

The Lincoln Police Department says 7-year-old Sassy was found the same day that her case aired on Channel 8.

Police said there was lots of tail wagging during the reunion.

LPD added that one of the people who was caught on camera the day she disappeared has been arrested.

Police are also promoting a new fundraiser they’re doing with the Lincoln Children’s Zoo.

“Zoo Dun It” welcomes anyone 21 and up to help solve a mystery in between food and drinks.

Proceeds will go to Crime Stoppers.  You can use the QR code in the photo gallery above to buy tickets or use this link.
