Storm chances Monday morning, then partly cloudy
Early Monday morning we saw some showers and thunderstorm activity. We’re dry the remainder of Monday, with a decrease in cloud coverage. Partly cloudy skies for the eastern half of the state with storm chances to the west. Temperatures will be cooler with more rain chances throughout the week.
Our high for Monday will be in the mid to lower 80s for many. Seasonally cooler temperatures, yet comfortable.
Stormcast has central and eastern Nebraska dry with partly cloudy skies. Storms are possible in the evening hours overnight into Tuesday for the west. Damaging wind speeds, large hail and strong to severe thunderstorms are the main concerns.
While the eastern side of the state stays dry, a second wave of storms arrives Monday evening for the western half. There is a Marginal Risk (level 1/5) for Severe Weather in place overnight into Tuesday for the panhandled and parts of SW Nebraska.
Following today’s storms the rest of the day will be dry with partly cloudy skies.
