Dogs to take over Lincoln’s Star City Shores before it closes for the summer

LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) – Before Star City Shores closes its doors for the summer, dogs across Lincoln will get to enjoy the pool this weekend.

City officials announced that the annual Dog Splash event will be held from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. at Star City Shores on Sunday.

The event includes an area for small dogs and retrieval activities in the lap lanes.  Tickets are $10 per dog (cash only) and can be purchased at the pool’s front gate.

Each dog can be accompanied by two adults and one child.  When dogs are not in the water, officials said they must be on a leash.

The Lincoln Parks and Recreation Department said the 2023 pool season ends at 6 p.m. on Sunday.
