Small storm chance Friday evening; Better chance Sunday
The warm weather is back with high temperatures expected to reach the lower 90s. A small chance for strong to severe storms in the evening, otherwise many will be dry and partly cloudy.
Seasonally warmer temperatures are expected for our highs, with many lower 90s forecasted.
Various models depict a lot of dry time for Friday with some small chances for strong to possibly severe storms in the afternoon and evening.
A Marginal Risk (level 1/5) for Severe Weather is in place through Friday for much of the eastern half of the state. A Slight Risk (level 2/5) is in place for parts of SE Nebraska, strong to severe storms as well as damaging wind speeds and large hail are the main concerns.
The Storm Alert Team will continue tracking the hit-or-miss system as it arrives.
To recap, our Friday will be mostly dry with a chance for some storms in the evening hours and slightly above normal temperatures.
Saturday will have a similar weather pattern to Friday, with late storm chances in the evening otherwise partly cloudy skies. The next best chance for storms is looking like Sunday.
