Wanted man crashed vehicle into building, cruisers in north Lincoln, police say
LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) – A man ran into a building Thursday while trying to escape officers in north Lincoln, police say
Around 7:20 p.m., investigators with the narcotics task force saw a Jaguar XF in a parking lot near 11th Street and Cornhusker Highway.
Police said the vehicle is registered to a 24-year-old man, who was wanted on a previous protection order violation.
Investigators in unmarked police cruisers parked behind the Jaguar and tried to take the man into custody.
But the man reversed and crashed into the cruisers, police said. He then drove forward and crashed into a building, which stopped the vehicle.
The man was arrested on suspicion of operating a motor vehicle to avoid arrest, resisting arrest and obstructing a peace officer.
