Man broke into Grand Island home and threatened woman, police say

LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) — A man is accused of forcing his way into a Nebraska home and terrorizing the woman inside.

The Grand Island Police Department said this happened in the northwest part of the city, near David Avenue and Jan Street, on Wednesday around 1 a.m.

According to investigators, Robin Chelewski broke a door jam and then told the woman inside that he was going to kill her.

Chelewski was later arrested in central Grand Island.

He’s charged with burglary, terroristic threats and driving under the influence.
