Nebraska man killed in crash with semi in rural Custer County
LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) – A man was killed early Wednesday morning in a crash on a rural highway in Custer County.
The crash happened around 6 a.m. on Highway 92, just west of Arnold. The sheriff’s office said roadwork was being done at the time of the crash.
A semitrailer-truck, driven by a 67-year-old Stapleton man, struck a road construction broom sweeper. The semi and the broom sweeper ended up in ditches.
The driver of the broom sweeper, a 56-year-old Broken Bow man, was taken to a North Platte hospital, where he was later pronounced dead.
The sheriff’s office said the driver of the semi had minor injuries.
