The curtain is dropping on the Douglas Theater company.
After 56 years of local ownership, Lincoln's movie theaters have been sold.
Douglas theater company president David Livingston says.
The Wisconsin based Marcus Theaters is buying Douglas for 40 point five million dollars.
Livingston says Marcus was one of many corporations interested in purchasing Douglas Theaters.
The Milwaukee based corporation will acquire and operate seven Douglas theater locations.
With a total of 83 screens in Lincoln and Omaha.
Marcus will take ownership on April 3rd.
