Several LFR crews extinguish flames at Lincoln duplex
LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) – Several Lincoln Fire & Rescue crews battled a blaze Thursday at a duplex in the Near South neighborhood.
The fire was reported at the duplex near 21st and B streets around 3 p.m.
When firefighters arrived, smoke was coming out of the front door, Battalion Chief Jim Bopp said.
Crews quickly put out the flames, but both units had smoke and water damage, according to Bopp.
The residents of the duplex will be relocated by the Red Cross. No one was injured.
The cause of the fire and the amount of damage is unknown.
