Death threat, kicking leads to hate crime arrest at Nebraska park, according to police

LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) — A white man is accused of repeatedly kicking a Black man at a Nebraska park on Saturday.

This started around 11:15 a.m. at Ryder Park, according to the Grand Island Police Department.

A witness told GIPD that Jason Lemburg also threatened to kill the 24-year-old victim while telling him to go back to his home country.

Lemburg was arrested on suspicion of assault and terroristic threats.

Police said both are hate crimes because of what Lemburg said during the attack.
