Man accused of punching 73-year-old in the face at Lincoln gas station

LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) – A man was arrested Monday after police say he threatened another man with a knife at a Lincoln gas station.

Around 8:40 a.m., a 73-year-old man was walking out of the U-Stop near 10th and H streets when Demian Robbins, 53, approached him.

Police said Robbins punched the victim in the face.  The victim backed away and tried pulling out a knife, but he dropped it.

Robbins picked up the knife and threatened the victim with it, according to police.

When officers arrived, they saw Robbins yelling at the victim and a small pocketknife lying on the ground.

Robbins was arrested on suspicion of terroristic threats, use of a weapon to commit a felony and possession of a deadly weapon by a prohibited person.
