Woman found with meth, suspended license in Grand Island traffic stop, police say
LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) – A woman was caught with meth in a traffic stop early Tuesday morning in Grand Island, police say.
Around 1:15 a.m., officers pulled over a vehicle with expired license plates near West Sixth and North Eddy streets.
The driver, Sherri Naranjo, was unable to provide any paperwork for the vehicle, police said.
Officers also found that Naranjo’s license was suspended with multiple prior convictions, according to police.
She was taken into custody. Officers searched the vehicle and found a bag of meth inside a cup of ice, police said.
Naranjo was arrested on suspicion of several charges, including possession of a controlled substance and driving during suspension.
