Duo arrested after high-speed chase in two Nebraska counties, sheriff’s office says

LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) – Two people led deputies on a high-speed chase across two counties on Sunday, the York County Sheriff’s Office says.

Around 1:30 a.m., a deputy tried pulling over a vehicle in rural York County.  The vehicle stopped briefly but then drove away, the sheriff’s office said.

Deputies chased after the vehicle through Henderson and rural Hamilton County.

A Hamilton County deputy was able to stop the vehicle with a tire deflation device, the sheriff’s office said.

The driver – 31-year-old Gino Main of Henderson – and the passenger – 34-year-old Chelsea Beck of Lincoln – were taken into custody.

Main was arrested on suspicion of several charges, including driving under the influence and flight to avoid arrest.

Beck was arrested on suspicion of possession of a controlled substance.
